A fragment of one of the songs we performed at our first concert with the project ‘Inténtalo carito’, on Nov. 3rd 2012 in Barcelona. For this song our dear mother made up a very creative ‘machine’: the ‘solfeódromo’. The song is part of a solfege method in which a student with disciplinary problems writes an essay about what things he can do to be a better person, and the music teacher writes a melody with it. The student then must sing the notes that appear in the text.

This is a live concert of an arrangement for Big Band that I wrote and conducted of a beautiful song by the great Colombian singer Lucia Pulido. The work was commissioned by the Festival “Jazz al parque 2010”, and was performed in a concert that featured some great Colombian artists such as Antonio Arnedo, Edmar Castañeda, Hector Martignon, Juanita Delgado, Nicolás Ospina and César Medina among many others.
